According to the Sun on Sunday, Aston Villa could be set to make a £10million bid for Wolves striker Benik Afobe.
The Villans have struggled to score goals this season, after Christian Benteke joined Liverpool in the summer. In fact they have scored just eight goals in their eight Premier League games.
The Villans lack of goals this season has left the side from the Midlands in 18th place in the Premier League table, having lost five out of their last games in the top-flight.
Afobe came through the Arsenal youth system, but only made his name at Wolves in the last couple of seasons. At 22-years-old he is regarded as one of the brightest young talents outside of the Premier League.
Last season he found the net 32 times in all competitions and has already scored nine goals in ten appearances this season in all competitions.
Wolves will once again be looking to challenge for promotion to the top-flight this season and ware unlikely to want to sell their star striker.
Villa is desperate for more firepower, despite bringing in the likes of Jordan Ayew and Rudy Gestede this summer. Villans boss Tim Sherwood is now under immense pressure to produce results.
Would Benik Afobe score goals in the Premier League?
