QPR’s Charlie Austin will be in-demand this season after scoring 17 goals in his debut season in the Premier League

With the Premier League campaign drawing to a close next weekend and QPR already relegated to the Championship, striker Charlie Austin could be in-demand this summer as he looks unlikely to stay with the Hoops in the second tier.

Austin has been one of the few success stories from QPR’s season in the Premier League. The 25-year-old has scored 17 times and collected five assists this season in a Hoops team that has struggled to score goals.

The goals have dried up slightly in recent weeks though, as Austin has found the net just twice in his last ten top-flight appearances.

Despite that dip in form, he is still regarded as a player who can be prolific in the Premier League, after being prolific in the lower leagues.

Austin’s successful debut campaign in the Premier League is believed to have attracted the interest of Southampton, Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa.

The striker has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the last five years from non-league to the English top-flight.

He has shown that he is good enough to score goals in the Premier League given the opportunities and looks unlikely to still be with the Hoops next season.

The Hoops are reported to be in bad financial health after years of poor financial management at the club.

A number of high earnings are set to leave the club this summer, but the sale of the team’s star striker is likely to bring in a pretty hefty transfer fee.

Where will Charlie Austin be plying his trade next season?
