The transfer window throughout Europe, with the exception of England shuts tonight and there is plenty of activity involving clubs attempting to strengthen their squads.
In this round-up we start in German, where last season’s Bundesliga runners-up are close to signing Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler is a deal reported to be worth around £30million.
The highly-rated attacking midfielder was previously linked with moves to Italian giants Juventus and Arsenal.
The signing of Draxler will cushion the blow of losing playmaker Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City for a fee of around £54million yesterday.
De Bruyne was followed out of the German club by Croatian international winger Ivan Perisic, who joined Italian club Inter for an undisclosed fee.
The Wolves have also moved to bring in experienced Brazilian defender Dante from Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich for a reported fee of around £6million.
Meanwhile back in the Premier League, Manchester United seem to be looking at strengthening their attack. Monaco’s highly-rated young attacker Anthony Martial is reported as a £36million transfer target for the Red Devils, according to the Guardian.
Despite their perceived lack of firepower, United also look set to part company with Mexican striker Javier Hernandez, who is reported to be interesting both Premier League West Ham and Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
The Mexican international is believed to favour a switch to German, as Bayer can offer the forward Champions League football this season. The move would leave United with just two senior strikers in Wayne Rooney and youngster James Wilson.
Will there be any more big money moves before the European transfer deadline day?
