Juventus will face Barcelona in the Champions League final after drawing 1-1 with Spanish giants Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night to win their semi-final tie 3-2 on aggregate.

Former-Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata came back to haunt Los Blancos, scoring the decisive goal on 57 minutes.

Both sides had early chances with Karim Benzema putting an effort wide of goal, while Iker Casillas pulled-off a superb save from Arturo Vidal’s effort on goal.

Juventus ‘keeper Gianluigi Buffon was in the action at the other end producing a good save from a long-range Gareth Bale shot.

The home side took the lead in the game and the tie on 23 minutes. James Rodriguez was brought down in the penalty area by Giorgio Chiellini. Cristiano Ronaldo stepped-up and hit his spot-kick straight down the centre of the goal.

Ronaldo was soon in the action again hitting the side-netting as Real looked to extend their lead. Buffon then got down well to save an effort at his near post from Benzema.

The home side’s failure to make the most of their chances in the first half was punished on 57 minutes, as Morata fired home from Paul Pogba’s header after Real failed to clear a Andrea Pirlo free-kick.

Bale had a superb chance to make it 2-1, but sliced wide after good work from Brazilian full-back Marcelo. The home side had Casillas to thank to keeping them in the tie, as he made himself big to produce a good save from Claudio Marchisio.

The game continued to be open and Bale headed over the bar after a pinpoint cross from Ronaldo, before Casillas did well to save a powerful Paul Pogba’s drive.

Real continued to push for a goal to take the game into extra-time, but could not find a crucial winner and Juventus will now play in their eighth European Cup final.

Did Juventus deserve to defeat Real Madrid over two legs?
