Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is reported to have agreed terms with Italian outfit Roma

According to Sky Sports, Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has agreed personal terms with Italian outfit Roma, despite the clubs having yet to agree a fee for the Bosnia and Herzegovina star.

Dzeko has struggled to nail down a regular place in the City side in the last few seasons and started just 11 Premier League games last season.

The 29-year-old fell further down the City striking pecking order last January when Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony joined from Swansea for £30million.

Dzeko joined City in 2011 from Wolfsburg for £27million and has scored 50 goals in 130 appearances for the Citizens.

However, many of those appearances have come from the City bench, as he has had to play second fiddle to Argentinian superstar Sergio Aguero.

Dzeko’s exit will leave the Citizens with just two recognised strikers in the aforementioned Aguero and Bony, with Montenegrin striker Stevan Jovetic set to join Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal.

British-record signing Raheem Sterling can also play as a striker if needed though, as he proved last season at Liverpool.

City have also agreed to loan-out highly-rated young Turkish international Enes Unal to Belgian side Genk. The 18-year-old only arrived at City earlier this summer from Bursapor in his homeland and has played in three of City’s pre-season games.

The youngster is due to spend two years in the Belgian top-flight gathering valuable first team experience. Unal has a history being prolific in front of goal having previously scored 24 goals in 25 games for Turkey’s under-16 side.

He is also still the youngster ever goalscorer in the Turkish top-flight, having scored at just 16 against Galatasaray in 2013.

Should Manchester City sell Edin Dzeko?
