West Brom boss Tony Pulis believes that Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew could be the next England boss.

Pulis’ Baggies face a tough trip to face Pardew’s Palace in the Premier League’s early kick-off on Saturday.

Pulis is of course a former-Palace boss himself, said of Pardew: “When you look at Alan’s record over the years he’s been as good as anybody,”

“Knowing Roy he will want to do the Euros and the next World Cup, but if you’re looking for the next England manager Pardew’s got to be looked at. He would definitely come into the frame for me.”

The former-Newcastle boss has transformed the Eagles fortunes since arriving in January, helping them to a tenth-place finish last season, despite the fact that they were struggling near the foot of the table when he arrived.

Palace have also enjoyed a bright start to their Premier League campaign and sit seventh in the table, following last weekend’s 1-0 win at Watford.

The Baggies head into the clash on the back of a disappointing 3-2 defeat at the Hawthorns against Everton, after Pulis’ side held a two goal lead. Pulis will expect a respond from his players in this clash.

Would Alan Pardew be a leading candidate for the England job?
