According to Sky Sports, Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic will have a medical at Italian giants Internazionale on Monday with a view to completing a two-year loan deal.
That will mean the forward will have just a year left on his contract with City on his return.
The Montenegrin forward has struggled to find his feet in England since moving to City in 2013 from Fiorentina. Injuries seem to have constantly hampered his efforts to nail down a first team spot at the Etihad Stadium.
Jovetic has made just 39 appearances for the Citizens in two years, with only 11 of those from the start. His time in Manchester has yielded eight goals.
The 25-year-old made his name in Serie A with Fiorentina, as he scored 40 times in his five seasons in Florence. When he joined City he was regarded as a bright talent and he is still highly-regarded in Italy.
Jovetic is a key player for his national side and made his debut at the age of just 18.
The forward will hope a move back to Italy and first team football will resurrect his football career, as it seems to have faltered during his time at City.
No doubt Jovetic is a skilful player, as he proved during his first stint in Serie A.
However it seems he may just be one of those players who is not cut-out to play in the Premier League. I am sure he will rediscover his fitness and form in the Italian top-flight though.
Has Stevan Jovetic been a Premier League flop?
