Struggling Premier League outfit Aston Villa are looking for a new boss after sacking Tim Sherwood.

The Villans suffered a sixth consecutive loss against Swansea at Villa Park on Saturday.

The loss and Sunderland defeating Newcastle in the north east derby early today consigned the Villans to bottom of the Premier League table.

The search for Sherwood’s successor has begun and a number of bosses have emerged as possible candidates for the job.

One of the main favourites for the position seems to be former-Manchester United boss David Moyes, who is currently managing La Liga club Real Sociedad.

The Scot has recently stated that he wanted to stay in Spain until next summer, when his contract in San Sebastian expires.

However, former-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also being talked about as a very likely candidate for the job in the Midlands. Other candidates are believed to be Remi Garde, Bob Bradley and former-Leicester boss Nigel Pearson.

Whoever does replace Sherwood in the Villa Park hot seat faces a difficult task in reviving a Villa team that has looked poor all season.

The Villans face a trip to Tottenham next weekend and no doubt Villa fans will be hoping that their team have a new boss in place by then.

Who should be the next Aston Villa boss?
