Manchester City and France playmaker Samir Nasri will miss the next three months of the season through injury.

The former-Arsenal has taken to social media to reveal the extent of a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action for the last few weeks.

The France international midfielder posted on his Instagram: “What doesn’t kill you make you stronger. I will be back better than ever see you in 3 months.”

Nasri has struggled with a hamstring injury that has forced him to miss City’s last three games and meant he has not started a game since the middle of September.

Nasri was recently linked with a move to reigning Italian champions Juventus, but had previously expressed his determination to maintain his spot in the City line-up.

A move to Turin in January is now very unlikely, as he will not be fit until after the transfer window shuts.

The summer arrival of big money signings Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne has reduced Nasri’s chances of first team football greatly. He could find it difficult to get back into the City starting line-up when he returns to action in February.
