Italian giants AC Milan have completed a double swoop for strikers Luiz Adriano and Carlos Bacca from Shakhtar Donetsk and Sevilla respectively.

Brazilian striker Adriano has joined the Rossoneri on a four-year contract for a fee of around £5.7million. The 28-year-old had just six months left on his contract with Donetsk.

Adriano has been plying his trade in Ukraine for the last nine years and is the clubs leading goal scorer with 129 goals. The former Internacional striker found the net nine times in the Champions League last season.

He bagged consecutive hat-tricks in games against Belarussian team BATE Borisov in the group stages of Europe’s elite competition.

The Rossoneri have also signed Colombian striker Carlos Tevez for a fee of around £21million, subject to a medical. The 28-year-old had three years left on his deal and joins Milan after helping Sevilla to retain the Europa League last season.

The striker had scored seven goals in Europe’s second tier competition, including scoring a brace in the final to clinch a 3-2 victory over Ukrainian side Dnipro.

His 20 goals in 37 appearances in La Liga helped the club from Andalusia finish fifth last season. Sevilla wanted to keep hold of their prolific striker as they prepare for Champions League football next season.

Bacca will be missed at Sevilla, as the Colombian striker had scored 34 goals in 71 La Liga appearances in his two years at the club.

The double signing is a good start to Milan’s recruitment drive this summer as the Rossoneri look to recover from their tenth place finish in Serie A last season.

Which of Milan’s new signings will be most successful in Serie A?
