Tottenham will be hoping that summer signing Son will improve their goal return this season

Premier League Tottenham have been poor in front of goal this season, scoring just three times in their first four Premier League games, and drawing blanks in two of their games.

Last season Spurs were heavily dependent on England international Harry Kane, who scored 31 goals in all competitions last season.

The 22-year-old has yet to score in the Premier League this season, but score twice for England in two substitute appearances in the Euro 2016.

The lack of cutting edge has obviously been noticeable to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, as the Argentinian leapt into action near the end of the transfer market by bringing in South Korean forward Heung-Min Son from Hamburg and Cameroon international Clinton N’Jie from Lyon.

Both players have been brought in to aide Kane in attack, but both players are wide players rather than central strikers, which Tottenham seemed in need of before the transfer window shut.

However, maybe the addition of the dangerous Son and the pacey N’Jie down the Spurs wings is exactly what they need. Maybe given better ammunition Kane can rediscover his scoring form in front of goal.

Both players could feature in Spurs visit to Sunderland in the early kick-off on Sunday. Everybody connected with the north London club will be hoping the new additions have an immediate impact on the team.
