Manchester United ‘keeper David de Gea could finally complete a big money move to Real Madrid

According to the Telegraph, Manchester United are set to allow Spanish ‘keeper David de Gea to join Spanish giants Real Madrid before the transfer window shuts, which in Europe is Monday at 11.59pm.

De Gea has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish giants for much of the summer, after it became clear that De Gea was not going to extend his contract at Old Trafford.

With less than 12 months left on his United contract a move to Real was almost inevitable.

It seemed like United were set to keep hold of the highly-rated and almost certainly lose the Spain international next summer.

However De Gea could now be heading to the Spanish capital with United reportedly looking for £29million, while Rafa Benitez’s side are hoping to tie up a deal for £18million.

De Gea is out in the cold at the moment and has not featured for the Red Devils because of the doubts about his future at the club.

United have kept three clean sheets in their first three Premier League games, with Argentinian Sergio Romero looking solid in goal.

De Gea’s compatriot Victor Valdes is another out-of-favour player being linked with a move away from Old Trafford. The former-Barcelona star looked to be heading for the Turkish top-flight with Besiktas, but reports suggest that the move may not now be completed.

Valdes will be looking to make a move before the transfer deadline after not being involved in a United squad this season just like De Gea.

Will David de Gea move to Real Madrid before the transfer window shuts?
