Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers needs to sign a striker this summer

Odds have been slashed on Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers being the first Premier League boss to exit his post this season following the Reds’ disappointing draw at home to Norwich City on the weekend.

The recent result sees Liverpool 13th in the table after six games, while having gone four games without a league win. Their poor start is piling the pressure on the coach, and oddschecker has Rodgers as the favourite for the sack.

The lack of goals has been worry, with Liverpool having scored just four goals from six in the Premier League. Their season looked promising with seven points from a possible nine, before they suffered two defeats and a draw from their following three games, conceding seven goals in the process.

Believing this will be Rodgers’ last season at the helm, the Mirror have already drawn up a list of potential replacements, with former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp the favourite.

Rodgers joined Liverpool from Swansea City in the summer of 2012, and has managed over 160 games for the Merseysiders.

He has a 51% win ratio overall, which sees him behind the likes of Roy Evans (1994-1998), Gerard Houllier (1998-2004) and Rafael Benitez (2004-2010).

Rodgers has failed to win silverware in his three years at Anfield, and has finished outside of the top-four in two of the three seasons.

Should the side’s poor form continue, how long will he last in his position?
