According to Sky Sports, Southampton have rejected a £10million bid for highly-rated England full-back Nathaniel Clyne.
The right-back has been a major success in the Premier League in the last two seasons and his good performances have earned him international recognition.
Contract
Clyne will have just a year left on his contract this summer and other clubs will look to use that fact as a way of signing the former-Crystal Palace star for a knockdown fee this summer. It seems that the 24-year-old is keeping his options open this summer.

Liverpool are not the first Premier League club to be linked with signing Clyne this summer. Manchester United and Chelsea are both believed to have scouted the talented England international.
United were the favourites to sign Clyne this summer if he did leave St Marys, but it seems that their North West rivals could now offer them stiff competition.
Lacking
Liverpool are currently short of experienced right-backs with Glen Johnson expected to leave as a free agent this summer and Jon Flanagan still recovering from an injury.
Youngsters Andre Wisdom and Ryan McLaughlin will rival on-loan Atletico Madrid star Javier Manquillo for the right-back position next season.
Doubts
The Saints will not want to lose Clyne this summer, but it is plain to see that the right-back has a number of options.
The club from the south coast lost a host of players last summer, but boss Ronald Koeman will want to avoid a similar scenario this time around.
Unfortunately it seems the Dutchman is fighting a losing battle to keep the highly-rated Clyne at his club.
