Danny Ings linked with summer move to Manchester United

According to the Guardian, Manchester United could be the shock destination of Burnley’s in-demand striker Danny Ings. The youngster is out-of-contract with the Clarets this summer and would be available for a compensation fee of around £5million.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive début Premier League campaign for the relegation-threatened Lancashire outfit. Ings has found the net eight times in a team that has struggled for goals this season.

The England under-21’s clever movement and vision has attracted the attention of a host of the top clubs in England and abroad.

David Moyes’ Real Sociedad had emerged as early favourites to sign the striker, but look set to miss out with stiff competition from Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool.

The Merseysider’s then looked like favourites to sign the striker. The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City have all shown an interest in signing the forward. However it is believed that United are now favourites to secure the striker’s signature this summer.

The striker was linked with a move away from Turf Moor in the January transfer window, but Clarets boss Sean Dyche was determined to keep hold of the striker to help his teams fight for survival this season.

However, it seems that the club from Lancashire admitted defeat in keeping the striker beyond this season along time ago and are resigned the lose their star player.

It is fair to say that no matter what happens to Burnley this season, Danny Ings will be playing Premier League football next season.
