Once again we are hearing what seems to be more than just rumours.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to arrive in the MLS when his Real Madrid contract expires in 2018.

This story popped up a few months ago and here it is again!

Supposedly, Ronaldo was previously committed to coming to the MLS but was trying to decide between Miami, New York or Los Angeles. Oh, the branding opportunities make my mouth water.

Now, Fox Sports is reporting that the Portuguese superstar has made up his mind and has decided to take his talents to Hollywood.

Hollywood is a better fit for Ronaldo than his designer undies.

No city caters to the rich and famous quite like Los Angeles. Besides, CR7 will be the 5th most famous person in most of the restaurants he’ll frequent.

The only remaining question is, will he be playing for LA Galaxy or the new, superstar-owned, Los Angeles expansion team LAFC?

LAFC is owned by a group of big-named superstars in their own right, including, most famously, Magic Johnson, Tony Robbins, Nomar Garciaparra and his soccer-wife Mia Hamm.

The investment group also has interests in sports franchises including LA Dodgers and Golden State Warriors.

LAFC is currently working on a site for their new $150 million dollar soccer stadium and are expected to join the MLS in 2018…. Coincidence? I think not!

Who can say no to Mr. Los Angeles himself Earvin Magic Johnson?

Ronaldo will be 33 years old when he makes the move, which is just one year older than David Beckham was when he crossed the pond. This is an even bigger deal considering he could be one of the top 5 players to ever kick a football.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo be living the American dream in 2018?
