Portuguese striker Eder looks set for move to Swansea

According to Sky Sports, Premier League Swansea have agreed a fee of around £5million with Braga for Portuguese striker Eder, with a three-year contract believed to be in the offing for the striker.

The likes of Southampton and Bournemouth have also showed an interest in signing the 27-year-old striker, but Swansea are now favourites after their offer was accepted.

Eder scored 13 goals in all competitions from Braga last season, including five goals in the last four games last season. The striker only made 19 starts last season for the Portuguese side, although he made ten appearances as a substitute as well.

The Swans are still looking to replace Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony, who left for Manchester City in January. The Ivorian striker is the Swans top ever Premier League scorer.

French international striker Bafetimbi Gomis came in to replace Bony in the second half of last season and scored ten goals in all competitions.

The Swans also had Portuguese striker Nelson Oliveira on-loan at the Liberty Stadium in the second half of last season, but he has now returned to Benfica.

Boss Garry Monk has made striking additions his priority after being busy in the transfer market already this summer. The Swans have brought in full-back Franck Tabanou, winger Andre Ayew and goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfelt to strengthen their squad.

The Welsh will be looking to build on their eighth place finish in the Premier League last season and challenge for a possible European place next season.

Will Eder be a good signing for Swansea?
