Forwards Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema look set to stay in the Spanish capital this summer

Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez has ruled out forward pair Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema leaving the Spanish capital this summer.

Both players are believed to be targets for Premier League clubs, but it seems they are staying with Los Blancos.

Benitez told a press conference: “Gareth is a huge player for us and I know that he’s happy,”

Talking about offers the club has received for Bale the Spaniard continued by saying: “I’m not going to talk about offers. Everything is well and he’s going to have a good season with us I’m sure.”

He also dismissed speculation over Benzema’s future by saying: “My answer is that I think Benzema is going to stay with us. I’m very happy with him. There’s no reason to think that he’s going to go.”

With Manchester United set to sell Angel Di Maria to PSG, the Red Devils have been linked with a renewed bid to sign Wales international Bale, with some tabloids claiming that United have bid £100million for the former-Tottenham star.

Benzema has constantly been linked with a move to Arsenal for the last few years and the story never seems to go away. Every time a transfer window opens one of the first stories to emerge is Benzema to Arsenal.

However it seems another transfer window will go by where Karim Benzema does not go to Arsenal and he stays at Real Madrid. Manchester United had also been linked with a move for the French striker, but it seems he is also now staying in Madrid.

Should Bale and Benzema stay in the Spanish capital?
