Romelu Lukaku’s agent claims that Everton would be willing to sell the striker

The Daily Mail claims that Everton are ready to cash-in on club-record signing Romelu Lukaku, amid rumours that big spending French outfit PSG are ready to pay £40million for the Belgian international.

Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola claims that Everton boss Roberto Martinez stated that the club would sell the striker if they were offered the right price.

Raiola told a French radio station: ‘Lukaku to PSG? We had a discussion with Martinez, he said he would let him leave Everton if a good offer comes in.

‘But talking about the transfer window now makes no sense.’

Raiola is famous for having high-profile clients and has already clashed with Martinez after making comments about Lukaku joining a bigger club when he became the player’s agent.

Lukaku reportedly cost Everton £28million last summer when he made a permanent move to Merseyside. At times he has struggled to justify the fee and has had his critics on Merseyside of the blue persuasion.

Lukaku has started the season in mixed form, but has scored seven times so far, having found the net 16 times in all competitions last season.

He has stated his ambitions in the past of playing for a club in the Champions League, so there may just be some truth in the PSG story.

Would Everton sell Romelu Lukaku?
