Veteran Dutch boss Guus Hiddink is now the favourite for the vacant managerial position at Premier League Leicester City.

The 68-year-old has enjoyed a long managerial career and only left his position as the boss of his national side a week ago.

The Foxes are looking for an experienced boss to replace Nigel Pearson, who himself lost his job last week. Hiddink is reportedly now at the top of the Midlands club wishlist.

Hiddink has some experience of managing in the Premier League, having been in charge of Chelsea as an interim boss. His spell with Chelsea was short, but in his few months in charge of the club he won the FA Cup.

The former-Holland boss has enjoyed varying experiences in the world game. He has managed the likes of Real Madrid, Valencia and PSV at club level, while he has had two spells in charge of the Netherlands.

His international managerial career includes successful spells in charge of South Korea and Australia, and a mixed time in charge of Russia and Turkey.

Hiddink definitely has the experience to take the club forward. If he did take the Leicester job he would join countryman Louis van Gaal and Dick Advocaat in the Premier League, who have also both managed the national team.

The other main candidate for the job is believed to be former-Foxes midfielder Neil Lennon, who is currently boss of Championship Bolton. However, the former-Celtic boss currently looks like an underdog for the position.

Will Guus Hiddink be the next Leicester boss?
