According to the Mirror, Manchester United striker Robin van Persie could make a £5million move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, with the only sticking point in the deal at the moment being that the striker wants the last year of his contract paid-off.

Fener are set to offer the Dutch striker a four-deal and a £250,000-a-week contract to move to Turkey, which is the same weekly wage he currently receives at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman is reported to be seeking talks with United boss and compatriot Louis van Gaal before he makes a decision over any move.

The 31-year-old could face the prospect of sitting on the bench next season at Old Trafford, but a move would see him play regular first team football next season.

One United player who looks certain to giants the Turkish giants is Portuguese winger Nani, who is currently in Turkey ahead of completing a £4.25million move to Fenerbahce.

Nani is out-of-favour with Red Devils boss Van Gaal and spent last season on-loan at former club Sporting Lisbon. He impressed during his spell at his first club, with 12 goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Portuguese side.

A move to Turkey has been mooted for a while and discussing seem to have been long and drawn out, but it now looks like the 29-year-old will now complete his permanent switch away from the Red Devils.

United boss Van Gaal has been busy reshaping his squad ahead of the new season. The Dutchman allowed 14 players to leave last summer and more are set to follow the Old Trafford exit this summer.

Are United right to sell attacking pair?
