According to Italian publications Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, reigning Italian champions Juventus are lining up a bid to sign Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri.
The two publications claim that the 29-year-old midfielder is desperate to leave the Premier League leaders.
The French midfielder faces a fight for his place in the Manchester City team when he recovers from injury, after the Citizens spend big money on attacking midfielders Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne in the summer.
The former-Arsenal playmaker is currently out of action with a hamstring injury, having started just one of City’s Premier League games this season.
It would seem that Nasri does not appreciate the competition for places at Eastlands and is looking to find first team football elsewhere.
Italian champions Juve have struggled this season in Serie A and are currently seventh in the Italian top-flight, nine points behind league leaders Fiorentina.
Big changes to their playing staff in the summer have been cited as a reason for their struggles this season, but it seems that the Bianconeri are attempting to put things right by bringing in fresh talent in the near future.
Nasri is definitely a talented player, but he is mercurial and City has enough talent to cope if he does in fact decide to leave in January or even the summer.
