Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri is set to be busy before the big Premier League kick-off next weekend.
According to Sky Sports, the Foxes have agreed a fee of around £10.5million with Brazilian club for Chilean international playmaker Charles Aranguiz.
The 26-year-old has recently helped his country to Copa America glory on home soil and will be looked at as a replacement for fellow South American Esteban Cambiasso, although Aranguiz is a far more attacking player.
Aranguiz has a decent amount of experience at international level, having played for La Roja 40 times and scored six goals.
The midfielder has spent his career in his native South America, with spells at Coco-Coco and Universidad de Chile in his homeland prior to his recent stint in Brazilian football.
The side from the Midlands have also agreed a fee of around £3million with Napoli for defensive midfielder Gokhan Inler. The 31-year-old is more of a direct replacement for Cambiasso.
Inler is also an experienced international having represented Switzerland on 83 occasions. He has spent the last eight years of his career in the Italian top-flight with Udinese and Napoli and has made 236 appearances in the Serie A.
The Foxes have already signed centre-back Robert Huth, full-back Christian Fuchs and Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki this summer. The two new arrivals will no doubt prove exciting additions to Ranieri’s team.
Everybody connected with the Midlands club will be looking to avoid another relegation battle after last season’s great escape from the drop.
