According to Sky Italia, Manchester City have held talks with Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba.

Representatives of City are reported to have travelled to Turin to hold talks with the highly-rated youngster.

The 22-year-old is one of the most in-demand players in European football. He has been linked with moves to the likes of PSG, Chelsea, Barcelona and former club Manchester United.

Pogba’s previous experience in Premier League football was not exactly a success, as he made just three substitute appearances in the Premier League for United, before joining Juventus as a free agent in 2012.

The French international was highly-rated at United, but boss Sir Alex Ferguson was not willing to give the midfielder regular first team football. In his three years at Juventus he has become one of the most complete midfielder players in the world.

Pogba will not be a cheap signing for any prospective buyers, as Juventus do want to sell their prize asset and are believed to rated Pogba in the 100million euro bracket.

The Italian club will make a massive profit on the young midfielder when he does leave Turin, but whether that is this summer remains unknown.

Manchester City have struggled to hit top form this season and have conceded the Premier League title to Chelsea. The Citizens could be set for a major squad overhaul this summer in an attempt to mount a more serious title challenge next season.

It seems that signing the France international is a big part of the clubs rebuilding plans for next season.

Will Manchester City sign Paul Pogba this summer?
