Southampton have enjoyed a very good campaign under Dutch boss Ronald Koeman, after losing boss Mauricio Pochettino and half their star players last summer.

The Saints have recovered brilliantly from those losses to challenge for the European places in the Premier League this season.

The men from the south coast are still in the fight for a top-six finish this season and it seems that their Dutch boss is determined to strengthen his squad this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the former-Feyenoord boss looking to his old club for new recruits this summer, with highly-rated pair Tonny Vilhena and Jordy Clasie being linked with a move to the south coast.

Just like last summer the Saints could be set to lose a number of first team players with central midfield pair of Morgan Schneiderlin and Victor Wanyama both believed to be targets of Arsenal this summer.

Winger Vilhena has just one year-old left on his contract with the Rotterdam club and the Dutch club are expected to cash in on the 20-year-old, so he could be available for a cut-price fee.

Defensive midfielder Jordy Clasie is regarded as one of the most promising young players in his position in European football. The 23-year-old has already won 11 caps for Holland and reportedly has been scouted by the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Koeman has done an impressive job at St Marys this season. His record in the transfer market last summer was pretty good and signing the Dutch pair would look like yet more shrewd business from the former-Holland international.

Can Southampton strengthen their squad this summer?
