Charlie Austin remains a QPR player despite being linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer

QPR striker Charlie Austin seems to be the most in-demand striker in English football, yet still no Premier League club has snapped him up this summer.

The striker featured in the Hoops 2-0 Championship defeat at London rivals Charlton yesterday, but was expected to move on this summer.

The list of Premier League clubs that have been linked with a move for the striker is almost like a petition. Newcastle were one of the first clubs being linked with the former-Poole Town player. The Magpies are still being heavily linked with a move.

Then there is West Ham, who are also being linked with a move for United’s Javier Hernandez. It seems Austin’s price tag may be on the expensive side for the Hammers. No doubt they will still be linked with the striker though.

Everton have recently been linked with the striker, as they look to give senior strikers Romelu Lukaku and Arouna Kone some aide in attack.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has stated he is looking to add three players to his squad before the transfer window shuts. It seems Austin could be one of them.

The problem clubs seem to have is that they are unwilling to pay the Hoops reported valuation of £15million for the striker.

It seems strange that clubs have shell out a lot of money on players this summer, but nobody is willing to take the chance on a striker who scored 18 Premier League goals last season a poor QPR team.

Who will sign Charlie Austin this summer?
