On Saturday, beleaguered reigning Premier League champions Chelsea host Liverpool in the early kick-off at Stamford Bridge.
That means the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ Jose Mourinho will come up against Liverpool’s ‘Normal One’ Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp has drawn three of his four games in charge of the Reds so far, but last time out guide the Reds past Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup fourth round. The 1-0 win achieved with a goal from full-back Nathaniel Clyne was not exactly convincing though.
The Reds players will need time to adapt to Klopp’s style of play and take-in his ideas and despite Chelsea recent struggles this will be a tough game.
Chelsea heads into this game 15th in the Premier League table, but just three points behind their visitors from Merseyside. The Blues exited the Capital One Cup at Stoke on penalties on Wednesday night, after normal and extra-time produced a 1-1 draw.
Liverpool has received a fitness boost in Belgian striker Christian Benteke returning to training, while Chelsea is sweating on the fitness of Spanish international striker Diego Costa, who picked-up a rib injury at Stoke.
Another defeat could end the second coming of Jose Mourinho at Chelsea with the pressure growing on the controversial boss and the Blues closer to the relegation zone than the title race.
I believe a Liverpool win is unlikely in this one and Mourinho will live to manage another day at Chelsea, but the Blues cannot afford to keep underperforming under the Portuguese boss, or he could be heading out of the club for a second time.
