Tottenham striker Harry Kane is once again being linked with a move to Manchester United

According to the Guardian, Manchester United are ready to make a £50million move for Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane.

The forward was linked with a move to the Red Devils in the summer, as United searched for a new striker.

The 22-year-old had struggled for goals this season, until last weekend when he hit a hat-trick in Spurs 5-1 demolition of Bournemouth at Dean Court. The striker’s form was questioned by critics, but last week’s hat-trick will no doubt silences critics for a while.

United captain and Kane’s England teammate Wayne Rooney has struggled up front for United this season and many have called for the 30-year-old to be dropped.

Rooney’s presence in the team has led to French prodigy Anthony Martial to play much of his football on the left-wing or the Red Devils.

A January move looks unlikely, but if Rooney keeps struggling and Louis van Gaal insists on playing Martial on the flanks, then maybe a big money summer move for Kane is a possibility.

Tottenham are unlikely to be willing to let their striker leave without a fight and do not need the money, but every player has his price and United seems to giving Van Gaal carte blanche in a bid to revive the clubs fortunes.

Will Manchester United make a big money move for Harry Kane?
