According to the Guardian, German giants Bayern Munich have agreed a fee of around £28million with Juventus for Chilean international midfielder Arturo Vidal. The deal will include around £2.7million in add-ons.

Sources in Italy claim the midfielder could be set to sign a four-year contract with the German champions.

The 28-year-old had previously been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal, but it now seems the midfielder is heading to Bavaria. He is regarded as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in world football.

Vidal has previous experience of playing in the German top-flight, having played in the Bundesliga for four years with Bayer Leverkusen prior to his 2011 move to Italy.

Vidal has been brought in as part of Pep Guardiola’s squad overhaul which has seen Bastian Schweinsteiger leave for Manchester United and attacking midfielder Douglas Costa join from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Juventus will are now being linked with a move to sign German attacking midfielder Julian Draxler. The versatile youngster is regarded as a bright prospect and has been linked with a move to a number of other clubs in the past.

Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado has also been mooted as a prospective new signing for the Bianconeri. The Colombian international has failed to settle in the Premier League after a big money move from Fiorentina in January.

Vidal will be greatly missed by the Italian champions, as he had helped the Bianconeri dominate Italian football and reach the Champions League final last season.
