Young Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has been sent out on-loan to Premier League new boys Norwich.
The 22-year-old is highly-rated, but it is the second season in a row that he has been sent out on-loan to a rival Premier League club.
The loan deal is likely to cost the Canaries a fee of around £1.25million. Wisdom had only recently signed a contract extension with Liverpool.
The versatile defender went out on loan to West Brom made 24 appearances and was pretty impressive. The previous campaign he had also been on-loan at Derby and produced some very solid displays for the Rams.
The youngster is versatile and can play at centre-back and also at right-back. This will be an asset that could prove crucial to the defender in his career.
He was unlikely to get much playing time at right-back for the Reds due to the arrival of full-back Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton.
Wisdom does have potential and has proved that in his limited appearances for the Reds and in his numerous loan spells.
If he does impress during this latest spell then it may mean that he is more likely to get action for Liverpool next season, or even earn a move away from Anfield and regular first team football.
Andre Wisdom definitely has potential and a lot of the attributes of a top-class Premier League defender. With regular Premier League football he should develop into a very good top-flight footballer in the future.
Whether that will be with Liverpool or not remains to be seen, but he looks like a player that is capable of playing at a decent level in the future.
Will Andre Wisdom ever make it at Liverpool?
