Manchester United ‘keeper David de Gea is now being heavily linked with a summer move to Real Madrid.

Spanish sports paper Marca have even claimed that the highly-rated stopper has already agreed terms with the Spanish giants.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has told Sky Sports he is already weighing up possible replacements.

He told Sky: “When we have a very good scouting commission, then we shall already know who shall be the next goalkeeper,”

“We also have a list of goalkeepers who can replace him because we have to be organised always. Not only for that position but for every position.”

De Gea has been outstanding for the Red Devils this season and has been a key to the Red Devils making it back into the top four.

United obviously do not wish to sell the talented Spaniard, but the lure of a return to the Spanish capital and the opportunity to play for Real could prove a big one for De Gea.

The 24-year-old has just over a year left on his contract at Old Trafford and negotiations over a contract have reportedly stalled, which means United may have to reluctantly cash-in on the former-Atletico Madrid star this summer.

United already have former-Barcelona ‘keeper Victor Valdes in their ranks, but the Red Devils have been linked with moves for the likes of Stoke’s Asmir Begovic and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris. The latest name to be linked with a move to Old Trafford is Chelsea’s Petr Cech.

Losing David de Gea will be a big blow to United in their attempts to build a squad strong enough to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Will David de Gea join Real Madrid this summer?
