Alvaro Morata JuventusAlvaro Morata has never been forgotten by Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez.

The Juventus striker, born in Madrid in 1992, played for Real Madrid from 2008 to 2014.

Last summer he was sold to Juventus for a fee of 22 million euros. Morata turned out to be an important player for Juventus also thanks to the five goals he score in the Champions League. His performances have been too good for Real Madrid to forget about him and not think of signing him back.

Real Madrid have an agreement with Juventus that they may sign back Morata for an agreed fee either in the 2015/2016 or the 2016/2017 season.

According to Spanish news house El Mundo Deportivo, Florentino Perez is seriously considering signing him back. That said, Real Madrid know that the transfer may only take place if Morata agrees to move back.

Morata will base his decision on the outcome of this season and the playing time he’ll be getting from Massimilano Allegri.

Competition is lacking, although Alvaro managed 46 appearances last season he has suddenly found himself competing for a starting spot with Dybala and Mandzukic, also keeping in mind the presence of Simone Zaza.

What might ruin the plans of the Real Madrid president is coach Rafa Benitez. Benitez has already declared that the striker position is already well covered.

In fact, according to the coach three players may play in that position in Benzema, Jese and Cristiano Ronaldo. For that reason, the hunt for a central striker is not his priority.

Juventus will be hoping that Benitez convinces Perez not to sign Morata as he has become a key player at Juventus.

Will Alvaro Morata be heading back to Turin in the near future?
