West Brom striker Saido Berahino revealed on social media that he would not play for the club again while Jeremy Peace remained in charge

There were plenty of Premier League players reportedly wanting to leave their current employers this summer that were forced at gun point, or by their contracts to stay with their current clubs.

The likes of Victor Wanyama at Southampton, John Stones at Everton and David de Gea at Manchester United have all handled their situations with a bit of professionalism.

However, there was one who did not take his clubs unwillingness to sell him with such good grace. That individual is West Brom striker Saido Berahino, who was looking for a move to Tottenham, only for Spurs to see three bids rejected for his services.

The 22-year-old took to social media to exclaim that he would never play again under Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace, which was a rather silly thing to do, especially when the transfer window has just closed.

The striker has since been given a leave of absence and pictures of him on a private jet have not gone down well with Baggies fans. Those pictures have provoked West Brom fans to call for him to be dropped into the reserves.

The striker must realise that he is now at a club, where he is unwanted by the majority of the clubs fans and club hierarchy too. There are even rumours that he is unpopular in the dressing room at the Hawthorns.

Saido Berahino has made himself very vulnerable by airing his grievances in public and when he returns from leave he is set to receive a very frosty welcome from his club.

Should Berahino have kept his thoughts to himself?
